The City Council is looking for alternatives to maintenance costs that are adding up and causing concern for the operation of the sewer system in Wilkes-Barre. Going forward, the City will seek the efforts of an offsite consultant company to bring costs into perspective. Residents remain leery of additional tax burdens but the City Council has advised that this strain would not be placed unduly. The concern of the City is the amount of use the sanitary sewer system endures due to municipalities and surrounding townships sharing the same connection. The consultant company advised that the repairs and rehabilitation efforts could potentially be over 800,000.
Perma-Liner Industries is here to help with our state of the art trenchless design. Following the good advice of Perma-Liner engineers, recently, Penn State (a land unto itself) sought to undertake an extensive pipe relining project. Acquiring our Cured in Place method and use of the best equipment, the job was a success. This saved the University on a large scope and while treating an average of 2.6 million gallons of wastewater each day, cost efficiency is a must.
